Perazza’s 2020 Calendar was created by Studio Perazza in collaboration with FIR – Italian Rugby Federation, thanks to the precious participation of the Azzurri players. It is the official Women’s and Men’s National Team Calendar, with the slogan #INSIEME2020.

The calendar has been developed both in the version dedicated to the Men’s National Team – on the cover the Azzurri captain Sergio Parisse – and in the one inspired by Italdonne. The women’s team was the protagonist in 2019, winning second place in the 6 Nations: Manuela Furlan is on the front cover.

The Calendar raises funds for projects born from the collaboration between FIR and Save the Children to bring rugby to Punti Luce in six Italian cities. Save the Children’s Punti Luce are educational spaces located in disadvantaged neighbourhoods of major cities in Italy. Here, children and young people from 6 to 16 years can take advantage of various activities: study support, art and music workshops, sports activities, promotion of reading and access to new technologies. Parents, on the other hand, can avail themselves of parenting education, pedagogical, paediatric and legal advice.

Playing rugby transfers educational messages: discipline, respect for rules, teammates and opponents, the strength of the group and the importance of ‘teamwork’ and the beauty of appreciating differences.

To date, rugby is already practised at the Punto Luce in Rome – Ponte di Nona with Primavera Rugby. Together with Save the Children, FIR intends to activate rugby at a further 6 Punti Luce by raising the awareness of clubs willing to take on this new challenge.

The proceeds of the calendar will finance clubs willing to take the field alongside FIR and Save the Children to bring Rugby to the Punti Luce in Rome, Milan, Turin, Naples, Palermo and Venice-Marghera.

Light plays a central role in the two versions of the calendar, with neon lights used on the set to make the deep blue of the jerseys worn by the players of the two national teams shine. The athletes, through special make-up, become super-heroes who illuminate the future of the youngest with their social commitment.
